Our leader, Nico Kilmer, called the meeting to order at 12:30.

 

Make Dreams Real – Let’s dream of a world in which children have the best possible chance at survival and the opportunity to reach their dreams.       And make it happen locally and globally.

 

Announcements/Recognitions

 

1. We had a board of directors meeting last Tuesday and approved the budget which is the yellow document on the tables.  The 6/30/08 year end budget to actual financial statements will be posted on our website.   We again approved the purchase of a BBQ for a sum not to exceed $700.   I am hoping Allan Baird will handle that purchase.

 

2.Foundation Seminar North/Membership Seminar –September 20 at the ALSB Golf Tournament – So far we’ve collected $7,560 and we are billing another $1000 in hole sponsorships.  We have paid $6,219 in costs.  Jerry Beacom speak.   Big thanks to Jerry and Scott Wheeler for putting this together.

 

3.Our major fundraiser will be on  Thursday April 30. 

 

4. Jim Hunt was fined for his grandchildren's 2 lambs who won ribbons and for selling a Heffer. He donated $100 to the scholarship fund. It was also his anniversary and he went to Europe which included a trip to the Red Light district in Amsterdam. The going rate was $60 for 20 minutes. Jim's wife, Lois was with him. Just in case.

 

5. Jess Duncan was fined $20 for winning the golf toun. grand prize of $250. score 56 - 18 holes, Plus he got closest to the pin on hole #16.

 

6. Robert Johnson was fined $20 for his new grandson. He also gave $20 to the Polio foundation.

 

7. Jerry Beacom took 2nd. place at the golf tourn. His score was 61. He won $150. He was fined $20

 

8. Allen Baird fined himself $10 for talking so long when he got up and told us about the 110 foot truck and trailer that blocked highway 36. Allen was the first one there and called 911.

 

9. Leonard Whitchurch was fined $10 for "back talk".

 

PROGRAM - Gabe Bennette - FHS, EHS and Strongcreek School. He is a Substance abuse and Anger Management Counselor. He is also a Basketball coach at EHS. Thank you Gabe for all you do with our youth.
