Committee reports

Foundation Dinner North on October 18th is coming up fast.   We need a preliminary head count by Friday.   No dinner tickets sold for our members yet.  Bob Zigler is putting together the Paul Harris Fellow list for 07-08 and 08-09.  Dorris and Daughter will be catering the event.  Don’t forget that purchasing $100 for the raffle tickets also makes you a sustaining member in the Foundation.  Our theme is “Dreams take Flight” in keeping with our speaker, Brian Shul, a fighter pilot, author and speaker.  Tickets will be $50/person.   Our club is responsible for the front door, greeting attendees as they come in (I will be asking members to assist in this).  We also need to monitor the fire pits indoors and out (I am hoping that Alan French will assist with this).  Connie is getting raffle prize commitments from the other clubs.  We will need bartenders for one of the two bars, so Kevin needs to put together some bartenders for that bar.   Interact will help serve dinner.

BIRTHDAYS/ANNIVERSARY

A marriage anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year.

If anyone needs to be reminded of their anniversary, it’s in the book!

A diplomat is a man who always remembers a woman’s birthday but never remembers her age.

Next weeks program is presented by Johnny Wise. Please let Kate know who is speaking so she can put their name on the Certificate.
